The Modern Take

Can Do, Can Teach!

For the last five years, I have been working with clients of all sizes to build their place in social media. I’ve worked with large hotel chains on an opening, and home town politicians keep their seats on the city council. You become temporary subject matter experts on the funniest things and quickly what they are passionate about I became immersed in. I treat social media like a miniature magazine; it is educational, informative, builds loyal readers, and attracts collaborators who see the potential for creating something new. Often, people resent spending time on their social media because it is temporary, or feels that way, and let the fear of relevance or small numbers on their analytics tell them it is not worth it to explore different ways of managing their place on the Internet.

More recently, I was asked to start training team members and interns on social media best practices and all the fun technology that makes creating for social media so inspiring. I found myself quickly knocking out six weeks of lessons with room for goal setting and hands-on training of different social media software ( I still love Sprout Social!)

Your public spaces on the Internet should be handled with the same care as you would give a customer sitting in a meeting. If you have the capacity to have someone (I’m free!) spend time with your team answering questions about technology or giving advice on developing a social media best practices plan, I recommend it. Training is one of the most powerful tools a business owner or manager can provide their staff.

Send me an email at meagan@themoderntake.com if you would like to see the training schedule I have put together or would like to book a morning of social media training with me.

Happy Posting!
